While Bismarck may not be known as a hotbed of tourism, a second look at the capital of North Dakota reveals an area rich in outdoor recreation and cultural opportunities. For adults looking to train for careers in the tourism industry, Bismarck is one of those excellent undiscovered places, off the radar of many Americans. There, up-and-coming hospitality and travel professionals can build strong careers catering to discerning visitors.

With seven golf courses in Bismarck, excellent fishing and hiking nearby, and plenty of educational and historical experiences, Bismarck is a city waiting to be discovered. It is already home to the annual United Tribes International Powwow, an event that draws more than 70 tribes and 1,500 drummers and dancers.

Hospitality Degree Programs Growing in Bismarck
Bismarck offers several strong travel and hospitality programs at its colleges and universities. Online and on-campus travel and hospitality degree programs allow Bismarck residents to explore advanced professional development while working full-time in area hotels and travel agencies.

Bismarck, which has a population of just less than 100,000, was recently named the fourth-best small place for business in the U.S by Forbes magazine. The area's low cost of living and doing business attract new companies and residents, while increasing the city's profile. Attending school here will prepare you to help shape its growing travel and hospitality industries.
